How to find your strengths

We all have strengths and are unique in the talents, knowledge, and skills that help us be our best every day. The key is to spend thoughtful development time identifying these strengths and focusing on how they can help you in your current and future endeavors, both inside and outside of work.

Your strengths are your greatest chances of success. It helps you unlock your potential, work smarter and more productively, and maintain a better balance between work and personal interests. Professional and personal growth requires more than just recognizing and leveraging your strengths. We must also believe that these strengths can be improved.

The first step in building your strengths is identifying them

We don't pay enough attention to our strengths because we are used to focusing on improving our weaknesses. However, it was observed that the change of perspective from looking at what is weak and needs to be solved; to what already exists and can be improved, it can lead much more easily to the achievement of the desired objectives because we are already aware of what we have good and we can build starting from a positive perspective.

What strengths do I have that I could strengthen?

  • Think of your best friend or someone you admire a lot and make a list of all the personal strengths you think that person has. Then write a list of weaknesses.

Pros and cons lists are long and almost always filled with great sentiments and statements, while dissent lists usually include a thing or two.

  • Repeat the same task, but this time make a list of the strengths and weaknesses you think you have. result? The list of strengths is minimal, but the list of weaknesses is twice as long.

Making a list of your strengths and weaknesses is a useful exercise that can help promote a variety of positive cognitive and behavioral changes.

Things that inspire and motivate are also important in determining your strengths.

Using our strengths makes us happier, more confident, and more able to achieve our goals. will be We aspire to be great, motivated and productive individuals, teams and organizations. If you don't know your strengths, you waste precious time exhausting yourself.

A strengths-based approach assesses the capabilities, skills, knowledge, connections and potential of individuals and communities.

Focusing on strengths does not mean ignoring challenges or turning struggles into strengths.

When was the last time you were in flow and loved what you were doing?

By demonstrating your strengths at work, you increase your chances of getting a raise or promotion. Use your emotional awareness to contribute to positive companionship, flexibility to adapt to new processes and unexpected changes, and spontaneity to increase your productivity. Much of professional development focuses on the downside…what you are doing wrong and what you need to fix. But focusing instead on strengths offers a powerful way to grow.
